NextGen North 2022: Where in the world do I fit?
Many of us wonder where we fit in the world and how God is going to use our unique blend of gifts and skills for his glory.
Join us to explore how we know where God is calling us to serve him. We’ll hear how God has led people to serve him in different areas and look at the Bible together. There’ll also be time for discussion and prayer.
Lunch and tea/coffee/snacks will be provided.
Date/Time: Saturday 26 February, 2-4pm
Venue: 115 Luck Lane, Huddersfield, HD1 4QZ
To book, please email Sarah Charles, OMF Area Representative for the North of England.
Speakers
Adam Young
Adam is preparing to serve long-term with OMF in Japan, helping plant churches there. He is currently Associate Minister at All Saints' Church North Ferriby and a Chaplain attached to the Army Cadet Force (Yorkshire North & West). He studied Theology as an undergraduate at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University, before continuing there to train for ministry and complete a Masters in Applied Theology. In his spare time he enjoys working out, training for ultramarathons, helping run a tabletop gaming club, and reading Charles Spurgeon.
Sam & Heather Bennett
Sam & Heather live in a village just outside York with their children Evie, Leo and baby Pippa. Sam’s a manager for the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Their connection to OMF started a few years ago through their good friends Luke & Alison, who were planning on serving long-term in Thailand. Unfortunately, Sam & Heather’s planned ten-month trip to help them with home-schooling was cut short to ten weeks due to the pandemic.
However, their journey with OMF didn’t stop there and they’re now Bridge Asia workers, helping get people in the UK involved with sharing the good news of Jesus with East Asians.
